Forest School Level 3
Forest School training is a multi-disciplinary course that includes five main areas of study: Delivery of a Forest School Program, Learning and Development Theory, Practical Skills in Forest School (tools, fire, shelters etc.), Planning and Preparation of a Forest School Programme and the Woodland Environment.The Training consists of:• Training week (32.5 hours), 5 full days• Practical skills days (18 hours) 3 full days• Study days – these are optional and could contribute to the learner’s self-directed study time(6.5hours).The Level 3 Forest School Programme Leadership training course initially consists of five days training. The week consists of both Forest School theory and practical skills to provide trainees with the skills needed to set up and lead your own Forest School programme. In addition to this, trainees will be expected to attend a three-day skill assessment to ensure confidence and competence when facilitating sessions using tools and fire. During these three days trainees will also be required to deliver a 'team teach' to their peers on a topic related to Forest School theory. Each trainee will be provided with access to an online learning portal to support them during their training journey.

Forest School Level 2
Qualification Objective: Level 2 Award for Forest School Assistants provides learners with the skills required to support Forest School Leaders when supporting Forest School programmes.The AIM Qualifications suite of Forest School qualifications has been developed with the support of the Forest School Association and specialists in Forest School delivery and training.Progression Routes: This qualification is designed to enable learners to develop an understanding of the principles and ethos of Forest School. It will prepare learners for further study and employment in the outdoors. It is designed to meet the needs of school and college staff, youth workers, parent helpers, students, and others in providing preparation for further development and study to becoming a Forest School Leader.Forest School training for assistants covers two main areas of study: Learning and Development and Practical Skills, this skills are developed as a way of supporting Forest School Leaders in their delivery. The Training consists of: Training week (19.5 hours) 3 full days Practical skills days (6.5 hours) 1 full day The Level 2 Award for Forest School Programme Assistants training course initially consists of three days training. These days consists of both Forest School theory and practical skills to provide trainees with the skills needed to support a Forest School Leader. In addition to this, trainees will be expected to attend a one-day skill assessment to ensure confidence and competence when assisting sessions and supporting in the use of tools and fire. Throughout the training Each trainee will be provided with access to an online learning portal to support them during their training journey.
